The care that Mozart took in arranging several of George Frideric Handel’s oratorios illustrates his deep respect for the composer. We screen a short documentary exploring Handel’s distinguished career and sampling a wide range of his music, including Water Music, Julius Caesar, and more. Stay to watch excerpts from Messiah in a landmark interpretation by conductor Christopher Hogwood, with soloists including soprano Emma Kirkby and tenor Paul Elliott.
There is no late seating.
