Emerson String Quartet and Emanuel Ax, piano

The legendary Emerson String Quartet embarks on its 40th anniversary season by celebrating half a century of Mostly Mozart. The strings first indulge in the Baroque mastery of Henry Purcell before taking a turn for the rustic peasant dances of Schubert’s wistful “Rosamunde” Quartet. The evening culminates in Dvořák’s folk-flavored Piano Quintet with beloved pianist Emanuel Ax.
